Terry Charlton

Terry Charlton is an executive and team coach and corporate training  consultant with over 25 years business experience in management consulting, corporate training and marketing, working for: KPMG Peat Marwick, Citibank, Chase Manhattan, Chemical Bank and The Richardson Company. In her corporate work, she  helped build new profitable consulting practices, created strategic, line driven training functions, designed and led major corporate change initiatives, and led numerous leadership, sales and presentation programs.  Her work has resulted in significant contributions to profitability, productivity, service quality, and employee and customer satisfaction.

She brings to coaching a thorough business orientation combined with strong skills in the behavioral aspects of business.  Though she has experience in many industries and functions, Terry strengths lie in coaching senior and middle management executives within investment management, investment banking, commercial banking, management consulting, technology businesses and financial professionals across all industries.

Terry’s approach to coaching integrates various coaching and behavioral models.  She has developed a coaching process that provides the client in-depth feedback, leverages clients’ existing strengths and identifies  ideal contribution levels.  She helps her clients: develop the mindset and skills necessary to achieve and sustain peak performance, expand leadership capabilities, strengthen emotional intelligence, manage stress, handle conflict, shorten learning curves, strengthen “people” skills, and navigate career challenges and transitions.

Our emphasis with clients is to always bridge the gap between organizational theory and real-world business application.

Experience shows that training alone has limited impact on retention and effectiveness. Lasting changes to thought processes and leadership behavior can only come about when training is followed-up by continuous coaching, support and reinforcement.

"The voyage of discovery is not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes."

— Marcel Proust
